Am 18. Juli traf Österreich schlechtes Wetter. Die schwersten Schäden entstanden durch das Hochwasser in der Stadt Hallein im Bundesland Salzburg, wo der Kotbach überflutet wurde, was zu Überschwemmungen in der Innenstadt führte.

Der Unfall ereignete sich nahe der Grenze zur Steiermark auf dem Gebiet des Landes Salzburg. Im Zug befanden sich 54 Personen, darunter 45 Schulkinder.

The suspect was detained at about 10:00 in an apartment south of Linz. The man may be involved in a series of attacks in Vienna on the evening of November 2.

According to eyewitnesses, the police took out the man and two other people who were in the same apartment with him. The detainees did not expect a visit from law enforcement officers, so they did not resist.

The name of the detainee is not disclosed.

Feuerwehrleute entdeckten einen toten Österreicher in einer Wohnung während eines Feuerlöschens. Gleichzeitig mit den Löscharbeiten überprüften die Rettungsdienste die Treppen und andere Wohnungen. Vier Personen wurden schließlich zum Wiener Rettungsdienst versetzt, der von mehreren Teams eingesetzt wurde. Aber niemand sollte ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert werden.

Zigarette als Auslöser

Nach ca. 20 Minuten wurde das Feuer mit Ausnahme von schwelenden Kohlen gelöscht. Als am Morgen Rettungsdienste von der Wiener Feuerwehr eintrafen, kam bereits dichter Rauch aus den Fenstern der Stadtstraße. Ein Teil der Haustür warfare gesprengt, und das Treppenhaus im dritten Stock war voller Rauch.
