Police detained one of the suspects Wien


The suspect was detained at about 10:00 in an apartment south of Linz. The man may be involved in a series of attacks in Vienna on the evening of November 2.

According to eyewitnesses, the police took out the man and two other people who were in the same apartment with him. The detainees did not expect a visit from law enforcement officers, so they did not resist.

The name of the detainee is not disclosed.

Pensionist (75) kommt bei Zimmerbrand ums Leben

Ein 75-jähriger Mann starb am Freitag bei einem Brand in einem Haus am Mollardgass in Wien-Mariahilf. Vier Menschen wurden von der Wiener Feuerwehr gerettet und zur Hilfe gebracht. "Aber ebendiese mussten ins Krankenhaus", sagte die Feuerwehr. Die Ursache des Feuers war wahrscheinlich eine Zigarette.

Als am frühzeitig Rettungsdienste von der warmes Würstchen Feuerwehr eintrafen, kam schon dichter Qualm sämtliche den Fenstern der Stadtstraße. Ein Dingsbums jener innerbetrieblich war gesprengt, mehr noch das Treppenhaus im dritten Stange war voller Qualm.

Vier Bewohner an einen sicheren Ort gebracht

Feuerwehrleute entdeckten einen toten Österreicher in einer Wohnung während eines Feuerlöschens. Gleichzeitig mit den Löscharbeiten überprüften die Rettungsdienste die Treppen und andere Wohnungen. Vier Personen wurden schließlich zum Wiener Rettungsdienst versetzt, der von mehreren Teams eingesetzt wurde. Aber niemand sollte ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert werden.

Zigarette als Auslöser

Nach ca. 20 Minuten wurde das Feuer mit Ausnahme von schwelenden Kohlen gelöscht. Als am Morgen Rettungsdienste von der Wiener Feuerwehr eintrafen, kam bereits dichter Rauch aus den Fenstern der Stadtstraße. Ein Teil der Haustür warfare gesprengt, und das Treppenhaus im dritten Stock war voller Rauch.
