Maritime Safety Queensland has rendered 14 extra days dislodging the constraints on the entry of foreign ships in Australia. This Australian port of Brisbane will allow the access of external vessels for more 14 days, which came in effect on Monday, March 23, 2020. Under the restrictions imposed by Australia, no outsider ships were allowed to harbor on the dock of the country. Under this new policy, the country has allowed the stay of the crew of all the countries in Australia except China and South Korea.
The officials of MSQ said that it is not yet safe to allow the vessels from China and South Korea. The original policy and restrictions got halted as a large number of exemptions and amendments came out, which was not favorable, as stated by Melwyn Noronha, deputy CEO of Shipping Australia.
