A large bloody shooting reported in Brisbane.

A group of four gunmen created a chaos at the Didbrook street home in Robertson on Wednesday evening at around 7:40 pm. This deadly home invasion hospitalized a 38-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He is currently admitted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital of Brisbane. The man was shot in the leg in the South Brisbane and left bleeding. The attackers fled from the scene after the man was shot.

Witness Ray Maninoa reported that the scene left the man's partner and kids terrified. The four gunmen are believed to be Caucasian, and we're dressed black. The police are in search of these men. Detectives have been deployed to investigate the case. The police have appealed the people with any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Brisbane man charged with domestic violence.

A 45-year-old woman was found dead in her home on Hemlock Court in the Moreton Bay suburb of Narangba on Tuesday, April 28, at around 4:00 pm. It has been believed that she was a victim of domestic violence. Emergency services were called to her home, and investigation of the murder is going on. Her body has been sent for postmortem.

A man, 50-year-old, has been arrested after charged with domestic violence and as a suspect of her murder. After the inspection, detectives have reported that the man was known to the woman. He appeared in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Couty on Thursday, April 30. Police have urged the people to find any case of domestic violence to report it on 1800 737 732.

A Brisbane woman was charged for spitting on Brisbane health worker after getting frustrated by the delay at Prince Charles Hospital on Tuesday. She spat on the security guard of the hospital while leaving. She was fined with $1300, which was announced on the spot of the incidence. Apart from this case, three other cases of insulting the health workers were reported in the city. The health authority issued a fine on people disobeying coronavirus ordinance and insulting essential health workers.

The state government has recorded increasing attacks on frontline health workers. Health Minister Steven Miles said that people are threatening health workers with cough as a weapon. He called this act "disgusting" and dangerous as a knife.

Amy McMahon set the aim to unseat Jackie Trad again in the state election.

Amy McMahon, the former climate change researcher, will again fight for the seat against Jackie Trad after a defeat in the state election in 2017. Greens' leader McMahon tried gunning Jackie Trad in the South Brisbane electorate in the last election. However, Trad won the election with just 500 votes and became the deputy Premier of the city.

Ms McMahon said that Queensland needs a change and stop electing politicians dependent on millions of dollars in corporate donations. She showcased immense confidence when she was asked about the last election. She said it is not the time for politics and she is focused on the election which is going to take place next month.

Brisbane pleaded guilty to harass, rape and burn a woman for 23 days.

A woman, aged 22, was continuously beaten and raped for 23-days by a Brisbane man. The man burnt her and left her to die. The severe injuries of the woman made paramedics assumed her dead. Nicholas John Crilley, 34, was charged for harassing the woman and 23-day attack in June 2017. The drug-induced violence on the woman was brutal and gave her grievous injuries.

The Brisbane District Court heard the accusations and pleaded the man guilty of torturing, raping and buying the woman on Tuesday. The prosecutor Sandra Cupina reported that Crilley beat and raped the woman for 23 days and pour bring water on her genitals. 46% of her body was burnt with deep lacerations and several broken bones.

Queensland health authorities are looking to track Virgin Australia passengers.

Queensland Health officials have recorded 16 new cases of coronavirus in the past week out of which one comes from Melbourne through a Virgin Australia flight. After the confirmation of disease of this Virgin Australia passenger, the health authorities are looking for other passengers who were in close contact with this patient. They have launched a search program to track the passengers seated in rows 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 from flight VA341.

They have asked these passengers to go into quarantine if they got tested positive with the virus. Currently, a total of 1,026 coronavirus cases confirmed in the state. The recent stats of diagnosis is showing that the state has clutched the transmission of this deadly virus.

A dangerous tropical virus is spreading in Australia

A dangerous tropical virus, Japanese encephalitis, is spreading in Australia. It has been identified in residents in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

The virus is carried by mosquitoes, it has already infected 34 people, 3 of them died. Many pigs also died.

Previously, Australia has never been a region where the tropical diseases characteristic of Asia have spread. The climate of the continent was not conducive to rapid transmission of the virus. However, recent floods have made it possible for the virus to spread through mosquitoes thanks to puddles of stagnant water. Such puddles often appear after the strongest tropical downpours. Thus, the virus has traveled hundreds of kilometers to the southern and western parts of the country via mosquitoes.

EDK Media attends a film, music and dance workshop in Umlazi

Ezase Durban Media KZN better known as EDK Media is a Film and TV production company established back in 2011, based in the heart of Durban KwaZulu-Natal. It offers a variety of services including: TV Presenting Training, Photoshoots, TV Shows, Documentaries, Events management and many more.

On Friday the 15th of July 2022, EDK Media production team attended an art workshop in Umlazi, the south eastern part of KwaZulu-Natal which was held in Umlazi Cinema Hall.

The event was solely based on ways that the youth could utilize to venture into the corporate sector and the entertainment industry. The gap has been identified, that the youth is seeking employment rather than self employment. With the unemployment rate at its peak in South Africa, it is crystal clear that having a degree does not automatically translate to employment.

Dignitaries and speakers from different places graced the event with their presence, amongst which Mr Xolani Dlamini, the founder and event organizer of Urban Arts Entertainment attended. Menzi Theo (executive director of EDK Media), Bella Mnyandu and Smangele Sokhela commended the event organizers for pulling off such a great event in such a short space of time.

We still have a long way ahead to ensure that our government is democratically accountable for its people and for the young people to be granted equal opportunity. We're hopeful that events of this nature make a dent.
