Rice VS Potato

Which is best???

Rice is the main staple food in Asian countries including China, Japan, India, Bangladesh etc. But in other countries, potatoes are mostly used as a main source of cereal and enjoyed in a large variety of dishes. Both are good source of energy and popular among many people. Many people eat potatoes to lose their weight and make their body more fit. Potatoes may be effective for short term weight loss, it’s not a long term solution.

But all people can’t take potato as main cereal. Potato has a high glycemic index, which means it can be broken down to glucose very quickly. That’s why it can cause blood sugar. We can feel hungry soon. Also, it can pull us to a risk of Type-2 Diabetes. But we can get more calories than rice. I recommend to those people who are suffering diabetes, high pressure and blood sugar problem not to take potato as starch because it can break down to glucose very easily than rice. Rice may be good for the diabetes sufferer.
