Chris Mahone, the groom to be of Rachel Doran, got conned by her fiancé. The 32-year-old bride sent her fiancé along with his 30 friends to the Airport for their stag party. However, when the band of boys reached the Airport, they received a shock. There were no hotel or flight bookings for the group, and Rachel Doran, the 32-year old bride, had forged the flight tickets of Jet2.com. Doran, stole 360 pounds from her fiancé and all his 30 friends to book a three-day trip.

The accused pleaded guilty on two charges of fraud by forging the tickets and stealing money. The trip was scheduled 10 days before marriage on 6th September 2017. The practice of Off-rolling students from schools has come under the scanner. An influential Leeds City Council Committee will hold a full inquiry on the issue. The investigation will be scheduled due to the increasingly common policy of schools off rolling the students without excluding them formally.

The schools make this possible by pressurizing the parents to teach their students at home or by overusing alternative provisions. In a meeting, it was revealed that the schools of the city are following the practice to boost their results. The council of students and families have decided to investigate the practice further. Earlier in the year, two reports were published, which talked about Children skipping the schools in one report, and the other story talked about school exclusions. The two reports prompted the meeting of the council.

https://avalanches.com/gb/leeds_alternatives_to_leeds_united_to_illuminate_the_lights_in_the_city8678_30_10_2019

A recent poll was organized in the city, which asked the citizens about who should be the ideal candidate to switch the Christmas light on this year. The organization who conducted the poll thought it would be fun to do the survey after players from Leeds United confirm that they will illuminate the Leeds City Centre. Most of the people agreed with the name of players from Leeds United as they are completing their 100 years of existence.

The decision seems sensible. However, some of the voters think that it should be the star manager Marcelo Bielsa who should switch on the lights. Few voters also believe that the star player Kalvin Phillips and members of the legendary 1970’s squad should be the one doing the honors next month. The other alternatives who got a significant number of votes were the Spice girl member from Leeds, Mel B, Boris Johnson, and even Donald Trump. Some people also voted for Josh Warrington.

https://avalanches.com/gb/leeds_leeds_among_the_biggest_haters_of_christmas8538_29_10_2019

When we talk about Christmas, we think about catching up with family and sharing smiles, but it is not the same for everyone. Across England, the people of Leeds are the biggest haters of Christmas. Around 20% of people feel hate towards the winter months because of Christmas. It is almost double the national average.

On the other hand, the least percentage of haters live in Plymouth, where only four percent of people said that they do not want to go through December because of Christmas. In the past few decades, the festival is slowly losing its charm in Leeds, and the number of those who do not like Christmas is increasing every year. Though the reason behind being a Grinch is still not apparent, it does not seem like they are going to change minds anytime soon.

Striker Eddie Nketiah may find his way back to north London from his loan spell at Leeds United as he is not getting the playing time he deserves in the championship. Arsenal supporters are not happy with the young starter's lack of starts at the championship club. According to the reports, he joined Marcelo Bielsa's side back in the summer on a season-long loan.

He had a good start at Elland Road and scored four goals in the first six appearances for the club. However, since September 15th, he didn't get a chance to start in the championship. Patrick Bamford is gaining preference over Eddie even though Patrick only scored four times in his last 15 appearances. There is a clause in Nketiah's which allows Arsenal to recall him if Leeds fail to give him the expected chances to make appearances.
