Bakeistry
Bakeistry is a story of an aspirant tennis player; professional tennis player who had a wardrobe full of medals and trophies in her tiny room
Well it wouldn’t be exaggeration to say that her achievments outnumbered the number of dresses she had in her wardrobe.
It was quiet a turn whn the hands holding a racquet 24/7 suddenly started using/picking spatulas and whiskers and whippers.
It all started with a small OTG that she forced her mother to buy because apparently the cakes her mother baked for her in her microwave were only that good.
So to put the metal box lying idle in her kitchen to some use she baked a simple cake one day.
Too bad it was too tasty and her foodie dad made her bake one everyday.
Then the neighbors challenge her to make a Starbucks style lemon cake
What could be better than challenging a proficient athlete?
A lemon cake was baked and the neighbor swore that it was much better than the original one he had at the branded outlet.
Now the baking for taste and pleasure was a hit among the family and friends.
Baking was the best source of rejuvenation for her after a hectic day of practice.
If she played well she would get very excited and bake a wonderful new goodie.
If her day didn’t go well and she lost her game, she’d spend hours with her all purpose flour chocolates and oven just to beat the heat off her head.
Next day was a new dawn and she felt she was blessed with her hobby of baking.
Tennis was her first love and she knew she couldn’t live without it.
Like every other sportsperson her game life was also hit with a tragedy.
She had an injury; hip bone injury, playing was out of question and she had to go to therapy daily with no results.
Everyday she woke up with the pain she’d get even disappointed and discouraged.
It was then her sister, her partner and her best friend did what she always did, stood by her and helped her out.
She put on all her whatsapp groups that were, Bakeistry was in the Market.
She announced a “Bake sale”
Too bad there was only one order from the Sale.
Yet the duo were very excited about it.
It was a big break through for them
But destiny was an antagonist for her
Their first order was a major goof up, the review was horrible.
While Ishwari was very upset about it her sister stood strong.
“Don’t worry” she said “it was our first attempt, we have made wonderful stuff, a small goof up would not take away all our skills. We will bounce back harder”
A week later a random call was recived and order was ma Lemon tea cake’
The review was amazing, the client was head over heels over the packaging and for Bakeistry there was no looking back.
Then came series of orders followed by the big order on Rakshabandhan.
She had to miss her holidays only to deliver her order.
Ishwari was so busy delivering her orders that she almost forgot about her game and injury, she’d found her new love.
Yes you can fall in love twice.
If she wasn’t encouraged enough to become a baker with all the orders and compliments she’d get for her work, her life made a 360 degree turn when the first client who was disappointed with her work came back for shed heard amazing reviews and seen pictures of her work and offered her a catering order for a whole birthday party.
Yes! Ishwari was meant to be an entrepreneur!
