Ever since the Nokia brand command came into the hands of HMD Global, the company is also paying full attention to Nokia's strongest link ie feature phone. Feature phones are less functional than smartphones. However, this changed with the arrival of KaiOS. This OS is given in top-of-the-line feature phones, including Nokia 2720 Flip. Now HMD Global is preparing to move from KaiOS to bring Android based feature phone this year.
A listing in the Wi-Fi Alliance website has revealed information about a new feature called Nokia 400, which runs on GAFP. GAFP is an undisclosed term, as it has not been announced yet. Although it is not new, a picture of a Nokia feature phone running on Android was revealed last year quoting 9to5Google, it was seen in it. The thing to note is that it will be different from Android Go. Unlike standard Android version, GAFP will get support for touchless interaction through physical buttons. YouTube, Google Assistant and Google Chrome have also been spotted in this ecosystem.
At present, no specifications have been revealed regarding 400 4G. However, if this feature phone is launched then a downgraded version of Android Go can be given. At the moment, it is not clear how long this feature phone will be launched.
