Q. Why do ants move in a straight line?

Answer: it turns out that when ants find food, they secrete an invisible chemical called “trail pheromone” as they return to the next. This trail leads directly from the nest to the food source.

Answer: The wearing of watch on the left wrist has practical advantages. Most of the people are right-handed and while working with the right hand, the time in the watch in the left hand can be seen easily because of lesser movement of the left hand and the damage to the watch is minimized.

Q. What does the number on the back side of the SIM card indicate?

Answer: (i)Every SIM card is known by its ICCD and ICCDs are stored in the SIM card and are also printed on the SIM card body during a process called personalization. First two digits of SIM contain industry code. Next two digits contain information about mobile country code (MCC).91 represent the Indian Country code.

(ii)The next two digits are called issuer number which is generated by telecom industry and each has different issuer number.

The next twelve digits are known as SIM number also called customer identity number. Last one or two number is known as check sum it I used calculate whether starting 18 numbers had any kind of mistake or not.

Q. Why government issued the new 10 rupees note in chocolate brown color?

Answer: The reverse sides of the new Rs.10 notes have a language panel, motif of the Sun Temple and the Konark, and the denominational numeral 10 written in Devanagari script. The base color of this is chocolate brown and it has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall color scheme both at front and backside.

Answer: (i)The incident of hot water turning into ice faster than the cold water is known as the Mpemba effect.

(ii)It is named after Tanzanian student Erasto Mpemba,who gave a theory that warmer water can freeze faster than cold water.

Answer: (i)H stands for HSPA (High Speed Packet Access).

(ii)It is an enhanced form of 3G technology. HSPA provides higher data transfer rates than the basic 3G.

H+ (Evolved HSPA) H+ stand for Evolved High Speed Packet Access.

Q. Why does the Indian Rs1 note not have governor’s signature?

Answer: (i)The RBI does not issue 1 rupee not because it is not permitted to do so under Section 24 of the Reserve Bank of India Act,1934.

(ii)One-rupee note is printed by the Government of India and signed by the Finance Secretary.

(iii)1-rupee note is really like a coin. Actually Rupee 12 is the true currency of the country. All other notes are just promise to give you equivalent of so many notes.

(iv)You can read the promise written on each note. There is no such promise on Rs.1 not.
