Police arrested the Tantric Baba (Astrologer) who indulged in indecent behavior woman in the name of Worship (Pooja) in Pimpri Chinchwad. It is alleged that he used to strip(nude) woman and then put lemon on their body. Investigations have revealed that he used to cheat women in the name of treasure in the house and performing tantric puja to have a son. Five women have filed complaints against it at different police stations. After tantrik got arrested, now he has been identified as Somnath Chavan. A woman who filed the complaint alleges that Chavan had indulged in indecent behavior with her in the name of Pooja and took Rs 3 lakh 11 thousand from her family for worship.
Tantric had told the women that their is treasure is hidden in a room in this house. Also told that the life of your daughter is in danger. If you want a son, you want to save a girl's life and you want a treasure, then the shadow lying at home has to be removed. If all this is not done in 15 days, then the life of the people of the house is in danger. After this, the family was ready for tantric worship.
The family even sold women's jewelery to arrange the money. 20 days later, Baba brought a black hen, white cloth, salt and lemon and started the puja. He took the girl to a room and took her clothes off and did obscene acts with her.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has made industrialist Ratan Tata the chairman of the first advisory council of the University of Mumbai. This Council will advise the Vice Chancellor in academic research as well as in the operation of the University. Also, the Council will monitor and periodically review the functioning of the University. Nuclear scientist Anil Kakodkar has also been nominated by the Governor as a member of the council.
This is the first time an advisory council has been formed at the University of Mumbai. This council has been made in accordance with the 'Maharashtra Public Universities Act-2016'. The state previously did not have a provision of advisory council in the university. However, this provision was added later by amendments.
Mumbai University issued a statement on Ratan Tata being elected as the chairman of the advisory council. It added, "Ratan Tata has been nominated as Chairman, the Universities Act provides for the appointment of a distinguished industrialist who has done many work in the field of youth and education. The Borivali police have arrested two robbers who used to rob things from people along the way at night. These usually targeted the elderly.
Zone 11 DCP Mohan Dahikar said that the two accused used to rob the elders in a rickshaw at night with the help of knives and pistols have been arrested. More than 20 cases are registered against them in different police stations in Mumbai. These accused have been arrested from a house in Kalyan area on Wednesday morning. The arrested accused include Suresh Singh (31) and Praveen Helkar (32).

Three people, including Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and MLC Anil Bhosle, were arrested late last night by the police in connection with a fraud of Rs 71.78 crore. The police has taken this action in the Shivajirao Bhosle Cooperative Bank scam.
Bhosle is also the director of this bank. Apart from them, the bank's CEO Tanhaji Padwal and the bank's chief accountant Shailesh Bhosle have also been arrested by the police. In early January this year, Pune police registered a case of alleged forgery, rigging and cheating against Bhosle, his wife and about 15 others, including the board of directors.
They are all accused that they had given loans to relatives on fake documents. The bank's board was suspended by the RBI after the scam. Anil Bhosle is a member of the Legislative Council from the Nationalist Congress Party. During the corporation elections 3 years ago, he left the NCP and joined the BJP. Indrani Mukherjee, who is lodged in Mumbai's Byculla Jail in the Sheena Bora murder case, has revealed a very shocking disclosure. Indrani told the special CBI court during the hearing of the bail plea on Tuesday that Sheena was alive on April 24, 2012, six months after the murder. She told that Sheena was with her boyfriend Rahul Mukherjee. Indrani has filed a bail petition for the fifth time in the case, which was heard on Tuesday.
Indrani cited Rahul's call data records. Indrani said that text messages were sent between the two (Sheena-Rahul) on 26, 27 and 28 September. Indrani read the messages sent in front of the court on both the numbers on 27 September 2012.
