In Sri Lanka, a sapphire weighing 510 kilograms was accidentally found in the backyard of a house.

The stone was found by workers digging a well in the backyard of Gamaj's husband's house.

The Sri Lankan authorities have stated that it is the world's largest star sapphire.

The stone weighs about 510 kilograms or 2.5 million carats and is called "Sapphire Serendipity".
