BREAKING: Jubilation In Enugu As Father Mbaka Reappears

There was Jubilation in Enugu State on Wednesday after the reappearance of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev Father Ejike Mbaka.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) had in a statement raised an alarm saying the whereabouts of the priest were unknown.

The cleric’s supporters and members of his Adoration Ministry in Enugu also took to the streets on Wednesday to protest against his alleged disappearance.

Mbaka had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be impeached last week.

However, he was attacked by the Presidency, which alleged that the cleric was angry because he sought to secure contracts from the Buhari-led government and was denied.

The cleric was on Wednesday afternoon seen in an open roof car, waving to protesters who surrounded him alongside operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.

His supporters were seen shouting ‘Father Mbaka, Oh! you are home!.”

The reverend father later came out of the vehicle to rejoice with his supporters.

It has come to the notice of the ENUGU State AAC Chapter headed by Hon. Oko Nnaemeka that a group parading themselves as RevolutionNow has planned and concluded arrangements to carry out #REVOLUTION NOW# Protest in Enugu State on the 5th of August 2020, using the Party name and logo of the AAC.

The essence of this disclaimer therefore, is to Inform the Enugu State Government, Police Commissioner, DSS, other Relevant Peace Enforcement Agencies and the General Public that AAC isn't party to such unruly conduct and as such those culpable of violating Constituted Authority and Democratic Procedures should be treated as gullible Political miscreants.

The Enugu State AAC disassociate herself from such #REVOLUTION NOW# Agitations/Protest and also wish to use this medium to once again reiterate the fact that we in no instance sign into such as it is not part of our Party manifesto to be part of a such a disruptive Agenda.

AAC remain a Peace loving and Democratic Party who seeks to correct the wrongs, concerns and many pitfalls in the way our nation and state is being governed through Democratic means by participating and believing in the power of the ballots.

At this juncture, we turn the attention of those involved in this unscrupulous act to the Nigeria`s premier criminal legislation, the Criminal Code Act. Section 484 to 489 of the Criminal Code Act which explain in clear terms the various punishments for impersonation.

We therefore, advise families and love ones to warn their wads from any illegal act as anyone caught misrepresenting and misleading the good people of Enugu State with the name, logo or any branded property of AAC must face the provision of the criminal act.

APC has never been a political party – ex-PDP chairman

Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, former national chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a former governor of Enugu State and currently, a member of the National Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of the party, in an interview with newsmen says the All Progressive Congress, APC, has never been a political party.

Answering questions on a myriad of issues going on in the country, especially with APC, Nwodo said those who are in PDP are very happy with what is happening in APC.

According to him, APC was never really a party. There were various political parties that came together to form APC.

“They have never merged into one party. Two, the President has not been a party man because when the President is involved in the party, most of the time when there is a crisis and the president steps in, everybody will sit up and he will be able to reconcile everybody.

“Look at Obaseki, Oshiomole and the National Working Committee of the APC went to the Villa. When they got to the Villa, they saw the Chief of Staff. When Obaseki went there, he saw the Chief of Staff. Where is the President? This is a party that lost elections in Rivers State, lost elections in Zamfara.

“They have been having this problem everywhere and losing election, so why can’t they get their acts together? But the more they don’t present candidates, the better for us. But in trying to address the problem, I believe that democracy has been slipping through our fingers and if we allow it to continue like this, we will just be enjoying dictatorship”.

Nwodo further said that democracy has rules and regulations which should be observed and because of the way it is being observed, both parties bring up wrong candidates and then Nigeria ends up with the wrong leaderships.

He suggested that if Nigeria does internal democracy and organize transparent primaries, each party will come out with credible candidates and Nigeria will end up electing quality leaders in a free and fair election but we practise godfatherism.

Furthermore, Nwodo said “We use all sorts of considerations to present our candidates and these candidates are not representing the party because they were not selected by the party and then, they go to general election and the security agencies and INEC will connive and write results for whomever they like. We cannot produce first-class leadership using these kinds of methods. So, until we do things right, we cannot expect correct answers. Let there be revolution that will enable us produce quality leaders for the country”.

FRSC moves to hunt, arrest, prosecute driver’s license racketeers in Enugu

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has spread its intelligence to hunt, arrest and prosecute driver’s licence racketeers within Enugu State.

The state Sector Commander, Mr Ogbonnaya Kalu, gave the assurance in an interview newsmen in Enugu on Friday.

Kalu said that Nigerians wishing to obtain the licence should go directly to FRSC website to get enlightened and fill licence forms.

He said that they could also go to designated FRSC licensing offices and other FRSC formations to make adequate inquiries on how to obtain genuine licence from the right source.

Kalu said that the licence was still affordable, adding that licence for a three-year duration cost N6,500 and that of five-year duration cost N10,500.

“Obtaining the licence is further made easy by the FRSC, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) and state board of internal revenue having a one-stop shop.

“The one-stop shop brings all these agencies involved in licence production under one roof, and all issues concerning licence is sorted out under the same roof.

“So, for no reason should any one patronise touts or racketeers, who always inflate the amount payable to obtain a licence.

“These unscrupulous elements also produce fake licences to unsuspecting members of the public,’’ he said.

According to him, members of the public should report any person, group or syndicate claiming to produce, obtain or help in processing the licence.

He noted that it was a serious offense for anyone to drive without a valid license.

An Enugu based medical practitioner, Dr Charles Nwangwu, has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Tactical Squad over alleged medical negligence leading to the death of a 68-year-old father of seven.

The petition reads in parts:

‘Mr. Jonathan Ugwuanyi now late after a bussiness meeting at 9th Mile Corner presented himself at Mount Zion Medical Center 9th mile corner Ngwo, Enugu, with mild symptoms of loss of appetite, weakness and fever.

“Around 9.20pm, almost 8hrs after, and with further phone calls, a nurse on duty at the clinic confirmed that he has not been seen by any doctor while the owner of the hospital who has been communicated was no where to be found to review him or to refer him to another hospital.

“At about 6am the next morning one Dr Ngwu, who introduced himself as the director of Mount Zion medical center informed the first son of the diseased, Dr Uchenna Ugwuanyi, said that they lost Mr Jonathan Ugwuanyi.

The petition further revealed that the patient was treated with 3 over dozes of anti-hypertensive within short intervals and by 3.45 am, he was given 20mg of parenteral hydralazine rush, which was the last and very potent vasodilator that killed him immediately.

It was also revealed in the petition that the said medication was administered by an auxiliary nurse.

When contacted on phone, Dr Charles Ngwu, confirmed that the man was admitted and died in his hospital. He however hauled insults on the deceased’s family, stating that the matter was being handled.

He said: “They are mad people. It is true that they wrote a petition and the patient died in my hospital but the matter is being handled. They are all talking rubbish. Don’t mind them. There is no need telling you anything on that”.

When contacted to comfirm the arrest, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, said he was driving and was not even in Enugu at the moment.

Miracle Cure From Madagascar For Coronavirus? First country, Senegal, places order for ‘disease-busting’ tea

Finally Madagascar is on the news again! Yes, Madagascar is trending officially, after a long time, following the Hollywood movie, MADAGASCAR. Well, this time around, Madagascar is trending for another jaw breaking reason - The Covid-19 Miracle Tea. It's Official Bro, there's a miracle tea from Madagascar for the cure of Coronavirus and the country claims it's working. In fact, The Government of Senegal has made an order already.

The eyes of the world have been drawn to Madagascar this week, after the government rolled out production of a herbal tea which it claims can negate the effects of the disease currently ravaging the planet.

Senegal orders Madagascar “miracle tea”

Madagascar are adamant that they have a herbal solution to the current global health crisis - and they've managed to sell their first batch.

Government spokesperson Abdou Latif Coulibaly told public broadcaster RTS that Senegal was ready to test the “miracle” product, officially known as CVO. Senegal has one of the best rates of recovery on the planet, as almost 300 people have recovered from the disease already. Only 671 patients had been infected. Now, Senegal’s president has confirmed that the first batch of the herbal infusion will arrive this week.

But it is Madagascar which leads the way here. The island nation has just 124 cases to note amongst its 27 million citizens. No deaths have been reported as of yet, signalling a major PR boost for the CVO tea.

What is in the Madagascar CVO tea?

Unarmed Madagascar soldiers went door-to-door in the capital Antananarivo this weekend, doling out sachets of a local herbal tea touted by President Andry Rajoelina as a powerful remedy against the deadly illness

The tonic is derived from artemisia — a plant with proven efficacy in treating malaria

The locally-brewed treatment is made up of several other herbs exclusive to the island.

It has been developed by the Madagascar Institute of Applied Research (IMRA) but has not been tested internationally – in fact, the Worl Health Organisation (WHO) isn’t entertaining “herbal treatments”.

The recommended dosage is two cups per day for adults, one cup for children, nothing for pregnant women.

Who have their reservations

“This herbal tea gives results in seven days,” Rajoelina announced at its official launch last week. WHO remains sceptical, as herbal remedies are often dubious in their authenticity.

Madagascar’s claims that it can strengthen the immune system are yet to be verified by any other nation or independent body. As much as we all want a cure, items like a “miracle tea” have a long way to go before they are proved to be successful. However, the Senegalese government is backing its fellow African nation.

What is Really Happening in Kano: Truth Must Be Told

As Groups seeks report and investigation on Kano’s strange deaths and mass burials, the real question therefore is WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING IN KANO?

The actual cause of these deaths in Kano, a strong commercial hub in Nigeria and Africa, is yet to be established. Tongues have begun wagging as the death toll keep rising. In recent news, it has been reported that an unidentified ailment, other than the one the world is currently dealing with - COVID-19, is responsible for the massive deaths within the northern region, especially in the Kano municipal.

Reports since yesterday has seen over a dozen of prominent citizens die of this faceless ailment. Balarabe Maikaba, a Professor and Senior Lecturer of mass communication at the Bayero University, Kano, has been confirmed dead; and again, the actual cause of death is unknown.

The question therefore is - were there no symptoms shown by the deceased prior to their deaths. What kind of symptoms was it? We all understand that Covid-19 takes an average of 3days to start manifesting depending on the strength of the immune system, yet in this case, didn't the sick manifest symptoms for a duration of time, 2,3,4 or more days before death, to suggest that the deaths were actually caused by Coronavirus, or to ascertain further if we have a new common enemy. Nigerians are concerned.

As Undertakers claim in Kano that many have been buried in the last few days, families in Kano are enclosed in their houses, this time and perhaps, not only for the fear of Coronavirus, but also the fear that a new enemy might have arisen.

Persons of prominent value Reported to have died in Kano on Saturday alone were:

Alhaji Dahiru Rabiu (former Grand Khadi)

Alhaji Salisu Lado

Alhaji Garba Sarki Fagge

Dr Musa Umar Gwarzo

Musa Tijjani (Editor of Triumph Newspaper)

Hajiyaj Nene Umma

Prof Aliyu Umar Dikko (Physiology Department, Bayero University Kano)

Prof Ibrahim Ayagi

Hajiya Shamsiyya Mustapha

Adamu Isyaku Dal (former Executive Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board)

Just as I was about publishing this article came the report of the body of a man lying lifeless at Kofar Nassarawa Bridge, Kano municipal. The man, in his sixties, just collapsed and died instantly, as reported. The speed and process of these strange deaths is too sudden and some people think there's more to this than meets the eyes. We suppose these deaths are too instant, or perhaps, the general public needs more orientation on how Coronavirus is contracted, symptoms and the likelihood of death. There's fear in Kano as we speak and the panic has begun building up as these strange deaths continues. Kano Residents and the country at large seeks urgent intervention into this crisis that seems to be getting out of hand.

No More Argument: Forbes Releases Actual Kanye West Net Worth

Kanye West is a billionaire, and hey listen, he is as rich as he claims to be.

At Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas; when Kanye West corrected Joel Osteen gently on stage, he actually meant the claim. Oh Yes...He meant it and he's worth it...Sikina.

Kanye West, in his normal joking manner yet factual, insisted by texting the guys at Forbes before the magazine's publication. “It’s not a billion - It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.” And in fact, The Jesus walks crooner, world-famous rapper and fashion mogul provided documents proving he is worth over $1 billion. You see it's a joke but such impetus from a new billionaire. He was actually 'Buga-in' before, but right now, the musical icon has got loads of receipts to prove his real worth. This billionaire status thing is really serious ooo.

At $1.3 billion Net Worth, Kanye West is worth $300 million more than his 22-year-old sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, whom Forbes (Celebrities worth calculator) hailed as the world's youngest self-made billionaire in 2019 (She topped their 'youngest' list again in 2020.) Kylie actually said in a recent interview that she is not 'technically' a self-made billionaire, afterall.

In 2016, in an interview on Twitter, Kanye claimed to be "$53 million in personal debt" and in fact publicly pleaded with Facebook Founder, Mark Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion in him as the "greatest artist of all time (GOAT)." If that plea worked is really not known at the moment. Some hours after that public plea, Kanye West implored his fans to subscribe to the Tidal streaming service to download The Life of Pablo, his seventh album. That actually worked.

Here's the point, some few folks out there would argue that it's belittling for a creative mind to beg for subscriptions, follows and likes from the public. Oh yes, these folks believes it's a desperate act, but I think otherwise. Bro, listen it works. When you seriously need a drastic change in your life, you will take drastic steps to achieve that. If you don't open that door remember the door won't open. Today Kanye is a Billionaire and His hit song Jesus is King is even more a reason to believe that Heaven makes a way indeed.

Actually, Forbes is still insisting that Kanye is bloating his net worth even as the rapper says that his wealth is way more than that.

“All of this is Level 2, let's go to Level 3" West told Bloomberg after a report came from Bloomberg that Yeezy, Kanye West's high-end sneaker line was valued by Bank of America corporation at $3Billion last year.

EndLooting, Enough is Enough: Stop the Looting of Public Funds in Nigeria!

Nigeria ranked 145th out of 180 countries in the 2023 Corruption Perception Index, with a score of only 25%.

This means the public perception of corruption in our government is alarmingly high, and it's impacting all of us.

Elected and appointed officials are supposed to serve the people, not themselves. Yet, we see looting of public funds, financial indiscipline, and misappropriation happening right before our eyes.

  • Hospitals lacking basic equipment while legislators cruise in N160 million SUVs.
  • Teachers struggling to make ends meet while public officials pocket unrealistic salaries and allowances.
  • Infrastructure crumbling while funds meant for development disappear into private pockets.

20 most corrupt Nigerians

This blatant disregard for the people's well-being is stealing our future. It's impeding development, eroding trust, and deepening inequality.

We can't stay silent anymore!

Here's what we can do:
