The first article I wrote on avalanches was about how I wasn’t satisfied with the school systems that are in care of youth today.
Todays article is somewhat related to that, where i’m going to share some of my experiences and sharing a general picture of how today’s system effects students in a good as well as bad way.
As I have written before schools today do not welcome new ideas, frankly speaking they can’t except the new generation, or well that’s what I think. I mean, it’s 2020 and we’re still studying Microsoft 2007. When we get to our engineering classes no one is going to even ask how to open word document on the 2007 interface.
First of all, schools should get the new edition of all books every year because holding children back from what’s going on in the present is useless maybe it saves them the trouble of searching new answers...
Second, sometimes the student is right. Many teachers do acknowledge that and they are overall very good to students but there is a small community of teachers that believe that they are the only sophisticated people in the room, it isn’t a big issue but it’s irritating that even if you were wrong isn’t it a students job to question the reason to the solution?
Ive met many teachers who are verbally abusive towards her students and I don’t blame their anger most of the time because students can also get extremely irritating at times but to an extent, I think many people in anger forget that those around them aren’t punching bags or stress relief balls you can squeeze the hell out of.
Many teachers, who aren’t frustrated just naturally like to criticise others around them and it hurts, it hurts very bad no matter how mentally strong you find yourself to be.
I know because it’s happened to me, where I got rejected as an eleven year old with a tall height in a singing competition because my voice wasn’t ‘mature’ enough.
And believe me I haven’t sung infront of anyone since.
My point is, degrading someone using verbal attacks is the most successful assault you could use to ultimately destroy someone from the inside, while many people can fix themselves or receive help many out there are only killing themselves inside.
However, everyone has their flaws. Nothing in life can be perfect, but that doesn’t mean that we ignore problems with a huge impact, like ruining a students motivation, his mentality his holes his dreams everything while trying to force him into sharing an idea that you think is correct and may or may not be wrong or Illogical.
Limiting ones brain to only go by the book to get an A+ on a test that no ones going to use in his practical life and ignoring the essential information about the real outside world.
Even so, there are many teachers out there who wish they could do this but can’t because it’s against orders, not all teachers are bad, the people that taught me in my previous classes, the ones who believed in me who put their all in me, I think everything that I do today is because they taught me to forge my own path when I don’t like the one forged for me.
I think that every one every where needs to change some things that effect those around them.
