Vote count underway in Karachi's NA-249 nail-biting by-poll
KARACHI:
Vote count is still underway for the NA-249 by-election in Karachi's district West on Thursday as no political party has managed to secure a decisive lead in the nail-biting by-poll.
As per the unofficial and unconfirmed results, Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Abdul Qadir Mandokhel is marginally leading against PML-N rival Miftah Ismail.
The seat fell vacant following Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda’s resignation ahead of the Senate elections.
As political workers have gathered outside their party offices, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz shared a video on her offical Twitter handle showing a massive crowed apparently is set to celebrate victory.
