The Islamabad police authorities have strengthened security in order to ensure law and order and maintain peace in the capital, taking into account the potential attempt by the Azadi March participants to move forward from the position designated in the H-9 area.

By adding more anti-riot police and paramilitary force personnel borrowed from different provinces and divisions, Islamabad Police will be strengthened.

At various locations marked as sensitive points, around 9,000 more trained personnel will be deployed. It is worth mentioning that the JUI-F leadership in Islamabad has signed an agreement with the Islamabad district administration not to move any other place except for the H-9 area designated for the JUI-F meeting.

A police source told APP will make extra deployment in and around the Red Zone, especially in the Diplomatic Enclave.

The federal capital's security apparatus was fully mobilized to prevent any untoward incident, the source added. In the hospitals ahead of the Azadi march, the PIMS and Polyclinic Hospital administrations gave warning.

During the Azadi march, different departments including emergency departments are directed to ensure the full number of staff. Starting today until further instructions, the source added, this warning will remain implemented.

In the event that Azadi March participants tried to move forward, the source said that by putting barricades and using manual resistance, they will be stopped near Peshawar Mor.

Source responded by saying Islamabad police are committed to protecting citizens ' lives and property, and no one is allowed to disturb peace.
