In the Nakhon Ubon Ratchathani district of Ubon, the police arrested three men for stealing wires and cables from many spots and bringing them to junk shops to sell. Police Colonel Thanapan Padungkan had recently made this announcement at a press conference recently.

The other gang members were Narong Pansnathia and Santi Samranwong.

5 boys, aged 11 to 12, were allegedly sexually abused by a Ubon teacher on several occasions. He may have paid them 200 baht for each sexual act.

A Royal Thai Police spokesperson believes that the teacher abused students about 10 times. She says that the teacher has been charged for abusing children under 15 with or without having consent. The maximum penalty for sexually abusing underage children is 20 years in prison.

The United Kingdom Foreign confirmed that Kevin Smitham, a British citizen had been found on the grounds of the prison.
Smitham had been 51 years old and he was from Nottingham. He had been awaiting trial for almost a year after the alleged murder of his wife, Kendra Smitha, age 29.
The couple had been staying in Ubon with the wife's parents for the Songkran Festival. This is the festival where Thais throw water at each and slap talcum powder on each other. The festival is the Thai New Year and they splash water on each other to represent a cleansing. It is usually on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of April.
The neighbors has found her body under a blanket on April 16th.
Smitham's body was found near a toilet in the prison's perimeter. Nobody knows how he died.
In 2019, The Foreign Office was the British government body that had confirmed the death. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said that the staff of the Foreign Office are giving the Smitham family support and advice. The family has stayed in touch with the Thai authorities.

Police have recently arrested him.

Colonel Thanaphant Padungkarn, the chief of police for the downtown district, took Roegrit to the police station to question him about a number of car thefts that had been happening recently in the city.
Roegrit confessed to taking three vehicles. They all came from used car dealerships.

On December 17th, 2020, he took a Toyota Commuter van, that was valued at 700,000 baht from a Toyota Sure car dealership. He was able to sell it for 100,000 baht.
On January 9th, 2021, he took another Toyota Commuter van from Kancharoenyont car dealership.
Local car dealers complained to the police and they began an investigation. The investigation resulted in Roegrit getting arrested. All the vehicles that he stole were returned.
