THE DEMAND FOR WIDOW RIGHTS TO UPCOMING PRESIDENT
The eruption of the election has been currently ongoing. For as widows and also fellow citizens we would like to be taken as priority to the society.
This is to show how important we are and not to be downgraded any other ordinary person. To the upcoming president we need your full attention just as any other law made in Tanzania. We don't need much, but just your co-operation.
we hope and pray that our message will be heard.
As us fellow widows, we would like to give our condolences to Mrs.Anna Mkapa for loosing her beloved, strong and devoted to his fellow citizens of Tanzania, husband, former president, Mr.William Benjamin Mkapa.
PRESIDENT WILLIAM BENJAMIN MKAPA
Stop complaining!.. from tragedy to victory, widows all over the world, we should be treated equally.
We widows have been frustrated for so long now, inferiority is our number one problem. The loss of a partner is devastating for many women all around the world. There is alot of problems such as poverty, violence, health and conflict-related situations.
For widows discrimination is another problem, widows have rarely being remembered. Far too often, widows lack access to inheritance and never given an opportunity to speak for themselves.
As today is widows day, empowerment is a key role for widows to blossom, it all starts with a waking up call. Even the UN urges the society to empower widows to play apart in a family.
-A woman one said, "I'm breathing and trust me that's are huge accomplishment."
All widows needs are supporting hand, as they play role of both father and mother, they need to be encouraged for them to show what they do best.
As I went to the interview of one widow, she had said, "if I had to embrace a definition of success, it would be that success is making the best choices we can.... and accepting them."
