Symptoms involve a 5 day or more elevated fever coupled with swelling, swollen throat glands, dry cracking lips, bruised fingertips or feet, & puffiness of both eyes.

At least 5 of the cases needed a ventilator, & many needed aid for blood pressure. No mortality has been recorded among patients in NYC so far.
