Ghana Politics

Many are still arguing on whether Akuffo Addo will still be voted into power comes December 2020.

Below are some key reasons that upon our research, find it to be the reason Ghanaians will still want to retain him as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

One District One Factory

District One Factory Programme was instituted by His Excellency, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to address the challenge of slow economic growth at the district level through a massive nationwide industrialisation drive, which will equip and empower communities to utilise their local resources in manufacturing products that are in high demand both locally and internationally.

This will allow the country to reap the well-known rewards of industrialisation, such as gains in efficiency in every facet of life in our society, increase in agricultural and manufacturing output, a reduction in the reliance on imports and increase in the production of consumer goods and food availability.

The programme is expected to facilitate the creation of between 7,000 to 15,000 jobs per district and between 1.5 million and 3.2 million nationwide by end of 2021.

  1. Increase job creation
  2. Promote rural income generation through grass-root participation in industrial and commercial activities
  3. Promote import substitution for currency stability
  4. Promote income generation for a wide range of producers
  5. Increase revenues through exports
  6. Attract and Improve profitability of investors
  7. Provide necessary incentive to increase yield of domestic output.

The Free Secondary High School

(Free SHS) education policy in Ghana was a government initiative introduced in the 2017 September Presidential administration of President Nana Akuffo-Addo.

The policy's origination began as part of the President's presidential campaign during Ghana's 2016 election period, and has become an essential part of Ghana's educational system.

Many who have benefited from this programme who are now of voting age are with eagerness to vote for the man who has helped them to achieve their dreams.

Teacher Training Allowance Restoration

The Akuffo-Addo led administration has finally materialised its promise of restoring the teacher trainee allowance formerly scrapped by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The “student aid” which played a significant role in garnering more votes for the New Patriotic Party was launched at a brief ceremony in Accra Friday, March 23, 2018.

Speaking at the National Youth Authority’s Youth Entrepreneurship Forum at the Accra Digital Centre, Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said the trainee allowance has come to stay, adding that it will be an incentive to make the profession more attractive.

“The restoration of the teacher trainee allowance is the first step on the road to ensuring that the teacher enjoys the exulted status it enjoyed in times past. With your help we shall make this happen,” he said.

Planting For Food and Jobs

Planting for Food and Jobs is a flagship agricultural Campaign of the Government, with five (5) implementation modules.

The first module PFJ (Crops) aims to promote food security and immediate availability of selected food crops on the market and also provide jobs.

This module was officially launched by H. E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at Goaso on April 19, 2017 in the then Brong Ahafo Region.

The five Modules are

•Food Crops (PFJ)

•Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD)

•Greenhouse Technology Villages (3 Villages)

•Rearing for Food and Jobs ( RFJ)

•Agricultural Mechanisation Services (AMSECs)

Many small scale farmers has benefited from this initiatives and there are more than willing to vote 4more4nana come December 2020

Upon our interview with this individuals, the main reason they want to retain Nana is because, there are afraid that a new government will come in and change this wonderful initiative.

Topic: 3 Areas The Devil Attacks Most In Your Life

Article By: Kingsley Kay

1st September 2020

Since the beginning of creation, there has been an intense battle between the LORD GOD and Satan. A great enmity that we believe started in heaven when Satan decided to take the throne of God.

This passion for the throne by Satan lead to his expelled from Heaven and a great hatred was developed by Satan towards God. The hatred is so severe that the Devil now is trying everything possible in his power to take over and destroy everything that is dear to God.

We all know how he tried with Job, the temptation Jesus Christ went through after his 40 days and 40 nights fasting. The tribulations the disciples went through are all part of the war the Devil calls upon them that genuinely love and follow Christ Jesus and his Father, God.

Now the moment you see this three areas you are about to read about going down in your life, then know that your life is in an intense attack from the Devil. It's not that you've done anything to him, but it's just because he has seen that God has a secret purpose for you. Be alert.

Satan will never make you to be drinking, smoking and be sleeping around no, sometimes that is too easy. Yes most at times that's the simplest way he uses to distract people from their Eternal Glory. But he knows this kind of backsliding is cheap. You will realise it fast and repent from it so he will take your fire gradually.

"I was glad when there said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord"

The above quote is a sign that your spirit is in tune. When people are already backsliding and couldn't feel the spirit of revival around their lives, they lose favour for things of God and the house of God.

This is an area where many do recognise that they are falling apart at. If you can't pray and you keep postponing your prayer time for unnecessary things like watching of TV, being with your phone, sleeping etc. Then my friend be alert. The Devil has pay you a visit.

One funny thing about all of this distractions is that, you will first feel bad but after a few days, you will become comfortable. Satan will never strike you hard for you to realise what's going on, he is not a fool.

There are many Christians, even pastors whose prayer life have been tempered by Satan and is dying slowly.

Carelessness is a dangerous thing in the spirit, it's more dangerous than immorality.

Satan knows how important prayer is for a believer, like how brest milk is important to a new a born baby, so is prayer to a believer. One week and you've not prayed, that alone gives the devil access to your life and everything you've worked hard for all your life.

Please Check Your Prayer Life!!

I know many are expecting me to talk about the Word of God, No. Do you know that the Word Of God can still be moving around your life while you are dying spiritually?

The Bible is one of the biggest assets Satan uses to draw Christians down. Satan will never stop you from reading the Bible but he can still uses it to destroy you while you read because many do not even have any idea the value of the Word of God.

The third thing Satan attacks when he wants to destroy you is your relationships. He kills all your connection intentionally with people who has the power and grace to help you reach your destiny (your destination in life) so that he can bring about delaying in your life.

He removes you from your spiritual family. He removes you from the company of great men and women who can take advantage of their secret places and cover you.

Solitude is different from isolation, when Satan wants to destroy you, he cuts off all your spiritual connection to make sure you stand alone for him to really get full access to you.

What you have just read are all deep spiritual things we should all be aware of. Every Christian must be alert because the time we are in is very dangerous.

Human Rights Reporters Ghana sensitizes Kiddy’s Garden School of UPCO on Human Rights Day 2023

On Human Rights Day 2023, a significant educational outreach unfolded as Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG), a prominent non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights, conducted a sensitization program at Kiddy's Garden School of UPCO.

The event, part of HRRG's mandate to educate the youth on their rights and responsibilities, aimed to instill in students an understanding of human rights concepts and the importance of upholding these rights in their daily lives.

The program, carefully curated to correspond with the global theme of Human Rights Day, offered an array of activities designed to engage students and staff in meaningful dialogue about the significance of human rights.

The HRRG team led by its executive director, Mr. Joseph Kobla Wemakor, equipped with educational materials and expertise, provided age-appropriate presentations that covered a range of topics from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Sustainable Development Goals to practical ways children can be human rights advocates within their communities.

Participants were introduced to the history and relevance of Human Rights Day, which is celebrated annually on December 10th to commemorate the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

The declaration, a milestone document in human rights history, sets forth fundamental human rights to be universally protected.

The interactive sessions facilitated by HRRG at Kiddy's Garden School of UPCO highlighted how human rights are intertwined with the daily lives of students.

Specifically, the emphasis was on the rights to education, freedom of expression, and protection from discrimination - all pertinent to the school environment.

By doing so, HRRG inspired a young audience to recognize their role in nurturing a culture of respect and equality both within the school setting and in the broader society.

Moreover, the program offered an invaluable opportunity for students to learn about instances where human rights can be compromised and how to respond to such situations.

It also prompted discussions on the responsibilities that accompany these rights, thus fostering a sense of citizenship and accountability among the young participants.

Beyond students, the sensitization effort extended to educators and staff at Kiddy's Garden School of UPCO.

HRRG conveyed the importance of a rights-based approach to teaching and administration within educational institutions.

Teachers were encouraged to incorporate human rights education into their curricula, ensuring that the promotion of human dignity and respect becomes a cornerstone of learning.

As Human Rights Day 2023 concluded, the impact of the sensitization effort by Human Rights Reporters Ghana at Kiddy's Garden School of UPCO was apparent.

The over 600 participants emerged more informed about their rights and empowered to act as agents of change in advocating for human rights.

In conclusion, the collaboration between HRRG and Kiddy's Garden School of UPCO on Human Rights Day 2023 has undoubtedly strengthened the foundation for human rights education among the youth.

By educating the future custodians of society about their rights, responsibilities, and the significance of human rights observance, HRRG has contributed to the cultivation of a generation that is more just, empathetic, and aware of the imperative to uphold the dignity of all individuals.
