Após superar 17 desfalques pela Covid-19, Marco Gama, superintendente do Marcílio Dias, relata momentos da classificação na Série D
O Marcílio Dias conquistou no último domingo (13) uma classificação heróica na Série D do Campeonato Brasileiro. Com contornos dramáticos antes mesmo da bola rolar para o segundo e decisivo jogo diante da Ferroviária, o clube catarinense se superou. Venceu de virada fora de casa por 2 a 1 e garantiu a vaga nas oitavas de final.
O drama começou na quarta-feira (09), quando foram diagnosticados os primeiros casos de Covid-19 na comissão técnica. No fim, 17 pessoas testaram positivo, sendo oito jogadores titulares, além do técnico Waguinho Dias e seu auxiliar.
Mas, o que parecia um pesadelo, se tornou um sonho. O superintendente de futebol do Marcílio Dias, Marco Gama, relatou como foram os dias que antecederam o jogo decisivo. “Desde a saída dos resultados da testagem da Covid-19, onde fomos perdendo membros da comissão e do apoio, imaginávamos que não seria diferente com os atletas. Ao saírem os resultados e darmos conta de que um surto havia assolado nosso ambiente, imediatamente através do nosso diretor médico e nosso diretor jurídico, buscamos contato com a CBF para saber se algo poderia ser feito, porém, com a iminente possibilidade de termos que dar sequência na preparação para a decisão, remontamos a comissão técnica com profissionais que fazem parte da nossa estrutura, mas atuam em outras áreas. E assim, iniciamos um processo de motivação, pregando que era possível, que na adversidade aparecem as oportunidades e foi o que ocorreu. Outros atletas que estavam se recuperando da Covid, alguns com poucas oportunidades durante a competição, foram oportunizados, mostraram a força do nosso grupo e fizeram uma partida irretocável que nos garantiu nas oitavas de final, mesmo jogando diante de uma equipe muito forte, que era candidata ao acesso”, revelou o jovem profissional de 34 anos, natural de São Paulo.
