Trump’s Twitter Account Was Hacked In October, Say Dutch Prosecutors
In this photo illustration, a Twitter logo is displayed on a mobile phone with President Trump’s Twitter page shown in the background on May 27, 2020, in Arlington, Virginia. Olivier DOULIERY / AFP Dutch prosecutors Wednesday said a man had cracked US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account in October despite denials from Washington and the company, but added that the so-called “ethical hacker” would not face charges. The man, named as Victor Gevers in Dutch media, reportedly hacked into Trump’s account @realDonaldTrump by guessing his password on October 16, Dutch media reports said. Both the White House and Twitter have strenuously denied reports that the account had been hacked. Gevers, 44, disclosed the hack immediately, saying the password he guessed was “maga2020!”, referring to the Trump slogan “Make America Great Again.” “We believe the hacker has actually penetrated Trump’s Twitter account, but has met the criteria that have been developed in case law to go free as an ethical hacker,” the public prosecutor’s office (OM) said. It added that hacking was a criminal offence in the Netherlands. But “special circumstances, also referred to in practice as ‘responsible disclosure’,” could stop prosecutors from taking steps, the OM added. We expect vaccines in Nigeria by January, says minister - The Nation Newspaper
Nigeria’s race towards procuring trustable vaccines to tackle COVID-19 pandemic will start yielding fruits from January, the ...
By Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja Nigerias race towards procuring trustable vaccines to tackle COVID-19 pandemic will start yielding fruits from January, the Minister of Health Dr. Osagie Ehanire has said. Ehanire stated this while addressing State House Correspondents after the weeks virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the Council Chambers, the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He revealed that the country will get the vaccines from more than one source, adding that the Ministry of Health had already commenced bilateral talks with manufacturing companies and countries that have developed solutions. The minister, however, listed the delicateness of storage of some types of vaccines, their effectiveness and cost of storage as some of the factors being considered in shopping for the products. Ehanire said: We have a technical working group working on the question of the vaccine. We have signed up with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) for access to vaccines immediately they are available. But you know that these vaccines are new and the producers are, first of all, not giving any indemnity. The big countries where these vaccines are manufactured are of course giving themselves the priority to serve their own citizens first and we hope that the pressure from the WHO and GAVI will be able to get a reserve for other countries, which themselves are not manufacturing and be able to attend to what we signed up to; we signed up for the advanced market participation of the COVACS. If we are able to get our own, I think it should be by January. But there are two types of vaccines, as you have heard. There are those that have to be in ultra-deep freezers, the MRNA types of vaccines; freezers that must give you at least -80 degrees. Theres another type that can be in a deep freezer of 20 and theres another type that can be in a refrigerator of -2 degrees, which is regular refrigerator. The one that is a regular refrigerator is easy, in that you have many of that kind of refrigerators all over our country; -20 will also be easy because we have such freezers. But, the ultra-cold freezers, we hardly have any in our country. Therefore, to receive and store those ultra-cold vaccines, will require that we go and purchase those ultra-cold freezers. He added: So, we are working on the costing and it might be which one we get first. We have to remember again that we have over 200 million citizens and we need to find a way to get enough to take care of our citizens. That means if we are able to get the vaccine that works well and does not cost us too much or cost of storage and delivery, thats the one well like. We are also having bilateral discussions and talking with manufacturers. Some of them have written to us that they want to have talks with us. I think one is already having discussions in the Ministry of Health. We are working with them because if we cannot get enough from one source, we should be able to get from other sources. So, we are looking at multiple sources. We had a conversation with the United Arab Emirates. The ambassador came to see us and told us that they are buying vaccines from China and had tested them. So, they said they are introducing them to us. So, we said we would listen to them because of the one that is effective and healthy in those countries and is available is the one we shall bring and that has also proven to be safe.
Lo Celso's class in Ndombele battle, angry Mourinho - 5 things spotted in Liverpool vs Tottenham - Football.London
Here are five things we spotted in Tottenham's late 2-1 Premier League defeat away at Liverpool
Mourinho's reaction to Bergwijn Liverpool may have secured the three points at Anfield on Wednesday evening but Tottenham had plenty of chances to win the game before Roberto Firmino struck late on. Jurgen Klopp's side put the visitors under intense pressure from the first minute and Hugo Lloris was kept incredibly busy either side of Mohamed Salah's deflected opener and for the rest of the encounter. However, Spurs did what they do best and levelled things up with a quick break as Giovani Lo Celso teed up Son Heung-min prior to half-time. The roles reversed after the break and it was the visitors who had the best openings to take the lead, with Steven Bergwijn missing two glorious chances after firstly prodding the ball wide before later striking the post. Jose Mourinho wasn't impressed at all after his first miss and the TV cameras caught him throwing his hands up in the air and looking around at his staff on the bench. The misses proved incredibly costly, as did Harry Kane's header, with Firmino winning the game on the cusp of full-time as he headed home a corner. Lo Celso shows Mourinho what he can do One thing that has been noticeable over the past few weeks is Lo Celso's return to form. Enduring such a stop-start season due to injury and fitness issues, the Argentine has been a regular in Mourinho's starting XI over the past few weeks. Read More Related Articles Read More Related Articles He was given the nod ahead of Tanguy Ndombele to start at Liverpool and he battled incredibly well in the middle as Liverpool pushed on for the lead. Initially having limited chances to show what he can do in the final third, the Argentine sparked into life with a driving run through a number of Liverpool players to play in Son for the equaliser. It was brilliant play from the ex-Paris Saint-Germain man and he did the same moments later but his excellent through ball came to nothing as it unfortunately struck the heel of Bergwijn when he was in a great position to drive towards the box. Lo Celso is in a fight with Ndombele for his place in the team at Spurs but he showed his boss what he can do going forward when given the chance. Sissoko's different roles All eyes were always going to be on Mourinho's side on Merseyside to see how he would set his team out against the reigning champions. Moussa Sissoko put in a very good shift in the defeat at Liverpool (Image: PETER POWELL/POOL/AFP via Getty Images) In the end he went with a 4-4-2, with Moussa Sissoko starting in a different role wide on the right. The Frenchman was utilised there to help Serge Aurier out against Andy Robertson and Sadio Mane, and his energy proved vital as they tried to snuff out the danger down their side. Sissoko's energy was missed in the middle as a result of the switch and Mourinho subsequently restored him to his usual position at the start of the second half. Spurs don't tend to use a 4-4-2 formation and it may be something we see again later in the season. Alli back in favour Things now appear to be looking up for Dele Alli after he was included in the Tottenham squad at Anfield. Only taking his place in two matchday squads in the Premier League prior to Sunday's draw at Crystal Palace, the 24-year-old made an impression in his five minutes on the pitch at Selhurst Park and deservedly kept his place in the 18 for the crunch game on Merseyside. Read More Related Articles Read More Related Articles With Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius absent once again, it will be interesting to see what happens with Alli once the duo are back to full fitness and able to play again. After a tough few months in N17, Alli was given minutes on the pitch but he had limited time to make an impact as he came on in the 86th minute. Due to the amount of games coming up over the festive period, we may well see more of the ex-MK Dons man. Hojbjerg giving his all to win the ball Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has become a firm favourite with the Tottenham fans following his summer switch from Southampton. A key part of the Spurs side by protecting his defence, winning the ball so often and getting the team on the attack, he is undoubtedly one of the signings of the season in the Premier League. Hojbjerg puts his body on the line for Spurs week in, week out and that was evident in the closing stages as he decided to head the ball when he was on the ground. Contesting for possession with Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones, the Dane clearly thought the best option was to use his head when down on the ground to ensure that the Reds didn't capitalise in such a good area of the pitch.

Watch: Team NZ destroys Luna Rossa in opening race of America’s Cup World Series regatta - TVNZ
Team NZ hit the lead early and didn’t give the Italians a sniff on Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour.
A disastrous first leg has cost Luna Rossa any chance of competing with Team New Zealand in the first race of the Americas Cup World Series. Your playlist will load after this ad Team NZ hit the lead early and didnt give the Italians a sniff on Aucklands Waitemat Harbour. Source: 1 NEWS Team NZ skipper Peter Burling edged counterpart Jimmy Spithill at the starting gates, and that was as close as the Italian outfit found themselves in race one. There were multiple touchdowns for Prada as they headed to gate number one, while Burling had Team NZ flying. By the time they reached the gate they were up by over 30 seconds. Downwind, it was much of the same with Team NZ extending their lead to 1m 13s. With the lead still being extended at the halfway mark, Team NZ were virtually racing themselves. With the speed difference into the wind a whopping seven knots, Team NZ maxed out at 36 and Prada at 29. With the lead hitting over 1600m at times, this first race will be demoralising for the Italians and undoubtedly the two other challengers. Te Rehutai crossed the finish line a staggering 3:13 minutes ahead of the Italians, in what was the perfect start for Team NZ and their fans. It is back to the drawing board for the Italians and skipper Spithill, who had positive things to say about Team NZ. Your playlist will load after this ad American Magic took the lead from the prestart and didnt look back during the face-off at the Americas Cup World Series regatta in Auckland. Team NZ did a great job, not too many mistakes. We lost our starting software, but they were much sharper turning the corners." Burling said he couldn't believe how fast the boat could go. "It's incredible the speed and how quickly they can manoeuvre. I really enjoyed the pre-start, then we got a click on them." In the second race, America Magic hit the lead early over INEOS Team UK, who effectively retired after breaking down in the water, allowing their rivals to finish without competition. In race three, it was a first win for Luna Rossa over INEOS Team UK, who again had technical issues and were forced to retire from their second straight race. The Kiwis raced again at 5.20pm.
Twitter, Facebook to remove false claims about COVID-19 vaccinations - India Today
As several countries approve COVID vaccines, Facebook and Twitter gear up to fight misinformation on their platforms.
As several countries approve COVID vaccines, Facebook and Twitter gear up to fight misinformation on their platforms. Twitter on Wednesday announced that it would start removing misleading information about COVID vaccines and label potentially harmful tweets. Facebook too said that it will remove false claims about the vaccines in the coming weeks. Announcing its plans to combat misinformation, Twitter said in a blog, Starting next week, we will prioritize the removal of the most harmful misleading information, and during the coming weeks, begin to label Tweets that contain potentially misleading information about the vaccines. In the context of a global pandemic, vaccine misinformation presents a significant and growing public health challenge and we all have a role to play. We are focused on mitigating misleading information that presents the biggest potential harm to people's health and wellbeing. Twitter has an important role to play as a place for good-faith public debate and discussion around these critical public health matters. Twitter said that it would especially remove tweets that would carry false information about the nature of the virus, tweets about preventative measures, treatments, or other precautions to mitigate or treat the disease, tweets about the restrictions regulations, or exemptions pertaining to health advisories and prevention of the disease. In the coming weeks, Twitter will remove false claims that suggest that the vaccines are used to intentionally cause harm to or control populations, including statements about vaccines that invoke a deliberate conspiracy. False claims about the vaccinations being unnecessary will be removed too. Facebook too had announced similar measures to combat misinformation related to COVID vaccines. "Given the recent news that COVID-19 vaccines will soon be rolling out around the world, over the coming weeks we will start removing false claims about these vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts on Facebook and Instagram. For example, we will remove false claims that COVID-19 vaccines contain microchips or anything else that isn't on the official vaccine ingredient list," Facebook had said in a statement. As far as vaccines are concerned, Singapore became the third country to approve the COVID-19 vaccine developed by American pharmaceutical company Pfizer and German firm BioNTech. The first country to approve the vaccine was the United Kingdom, followed by Canada. The vaccine was approved by US regulators that claimed that the vaccine is 95 percent effective. So far the vaccine has been authorized for use on people who are aged 16 and above.
