RESIDENTS DENY 100METERS CLAIM FOR ROAD RESERVE BUT ACCEPT THE DUAL CARIAGEWAY
We as the affected have not refused the dual cariageway but we sincerely request that the government should not demolish every building found 50meters eachside of the road unless the building is too close to the road and is affecting the construction of the second road ..100 meters is too much for 2 or 3 roads ..We may be compensated in cash but alot of land has been bought therefore this will put alot of families in poor state after usage of that money .. Even if we are relocated ,this will mean businesses people will be far from their houses and farm areas therefore this will demand transport at a daily basis ..so we request that they make the roads and still live us to trade along the road at our respective places because we have left enough space for roads instead of sending us 50 meters away from the road because our businesses depend on travellers in buses Cara and trucks .. That's how we survive along the road . please allow us be along the road and continue trading even after the roads are made .. By sesmo kaputula

World Bank, IMF, Others Meet Over Increased Vaccine For Africa
Heads of the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, World Health Organisation (WHO) and World Trade Organisation (WTO) have met with representatives of leading COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers for improved supplies to low and middle-income countries, including Africa.
The meeting was held under the Multilateral Leaders Task Force on COVID-19 Vaccines.
In a statement by IMF, the task force feared that in the absence of urgent steps, the world was unlikely to achieve the target of vaccinating at least 40 per cent of the global population by the end of the year.
The goal is a critical milestone to end the pandemic and kick-start full economic recovery.
The statement said members of the panel noted that adequate total global vaccine production, sufficient doses were not reaching the affected countries, a situation that has resulted in a crisis of vaccine inequity.
Both the World Bank and IMF had previously expressed concern about the emerging two-track economic recovery, owing to uneven distribution of vaccines and warned that developing countries would need some assistance to curb the challenge.
“The Task Force encouraged countries that have contracted high amounts of vaccine doses, and vaccine manufacturers, to come together in good faith to urgently accelerate COVID-19 vaccine supplies to COVAX and AVAT, two multilateral mechanisms that are crucial for equitable distribution of vaccines.
“Task Force members welcomed the willingness of the CEOs (of vaccine manufacturing companies) to work collectively with them to end vaccine inequity and their readiness to form a technical working group with the Task Force to exchange and coordinate information on vaccine production and deliveries,” the latest statement by IMF said.
The meeting, according to the statement, noted that countries with high vaccination rates have collectively pre-purchased over two billion doses above what is required to fully vaccinate their populations. Such countries were called upon to swap their near-term delivery schedules with COVAX and AVAT, fulfill their dose donation pledges with unearmarked upfront deliveries to COVAX and release vaccine companies from contracts so that the doses could be delivered to countries with poor vaccination records.
The meeting also called on all countries to urgently address export restrictions, high tariffs and customs bottlenecks on COVID-19 vaccines, raw materials and supplies required for the production and timely distribution of vaccines.

Zambia's new president Hakainde Hichilema to join IMF,WHO and IFC
The virtual broadcast will see President Hichilema outline his plans to restore macro-economic stability to Zambia in conversation with the Chairman of Invest Africa LONDON, United Kingdom, September 6, 2021/APO Group/ --The newly elected President of Zambia, H.E. Hakainde Hichilema, will address over 1000 global businesses and investors at Invest Africa ( InvestAfrica.com )’s flagship event, The Africa Debate ( TheAfricaDebate.com ), on 15thSeptember. The virtual broadcast will see President Hichilema outline his plans to restore macro-economic stability to Zambia in conversation with the Chairman of Invest Africa, Rob Hersov.
Hichilema was elected to Zambian presidency last month on the promise to tackle the county’s debt problem and usher in a return to growth. Zambia has been hit hard by the pandemic, falling into its first recession since 1998 last year. In November 2020, the country became the first African nation to default on its sovereign debt since the start of the pandemic. The global shutdown came on the tails of a challenging few years which had seen growth slow to around 3% since 2015.
We look forward to receiving an update from President Hichilema on his government’s priorities for the Zambian economy going forward
In his inaugural address Hichilema stated that his government’s “focus over the next five years will be on restoring macroeconomic stability”. He promised to “grow [the Zambian] economy so that we can list more people out of poverty than ever before.” Securing an IMF deal is high on the new President’s list of priorities as he seeks to rebuild his nation’s financial credibility globally. He has appointed former IMF advisor, Situmbeko Musokotwane, as his finance minister, promising to balance the budget and tackle corruption.
At The Africa Debate, President Hichilema will join a line up that includes senior representatives from the IMF, the African Development Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Afreximbank as well as private investors Ninety One, Alterra Capital, Leapfrog Investments and Renaissance Capital ( bit.ly/3yJnbTL ).
The online forum will provide the opportunity for Africa’s newest leader to introduce his policy platform to global investors and businesses. Securing private sector buy-in will be essential to the incoming government’s promise to stimulate growth and create jobs for Zambia’s young population.
Karen Taylor, CEO of Invest Africa said,“We are delighted to welcome H.E. Hakainde Hichilema to The Africa Debate following his election to the Zambian presidency last month. The Africa Debate has a long history of hosting Heads of State from across the Continent and providing a platform for direct dialogue with international investors and multinational businesses. We look forward to receiving an update from President Hichilema on his government’s priorities for the Zambian economy going forward.”

As humans, we love power. It is appealing, but very addictive. Those in the know, never falter to caution that "power corrupts, but absolute power corrupts absolutely.."
Power gets into your head, makes you heady, and you rarely listen to voices of reason, or take advice from those in the lower rungs of power, when you stray, and abuse those powers vested in you. In numerous, cases those who abuse power, and allow it to corrupt them absolutely, began their stint in power as sheep, but the trappings, and allurement of power, changed them into ravenous wolves.
History is bloated with records of leaders who failed to contain themselves, allowed the tentacles of power to strangle, and corrupt their consciences, turning them into power-hungry oligarchs, who became a nemesis to those under their authority.
As the governed, we at times create the Frankenstein monster in leaders, regarding, hailing them as gods.
Lesson: Never venerate, elevate leaders into godly status...lest they turn into dangerous autocrats..
I'm just a simple man..a run-off-the- mill guy, from the tiny kingdom of Swaziland, ruled by an absolute Monarch, King Mswati III. I am a commoner, who happens to be a writer, and following my childhood passion of writing..
I'm sorry, but I abhor any form of injustice, irrespective from whom it comes from - be it from a friend, relative, ruling authorities, etc. I am an advocate, a proponent, a protagonist of peace, and harmony. I will defend with my back against the wall, the underprivileged, the oppressed, and those whose voices are not heard as they cry for justice.
What is happening in this hell-hole of a country..this animal farm, led by oligarchs who only care about power, money and oppressing the people who reluctantly sponsor their opulent lifestyles, is diabolical. It has no place in a modern society, and belongs in medieval times.
The Living God created us all equal, and it is Him and Him alone, we should worship..not mortal man, who was taken from the dust and shall return to dust.
When the Living and Loving God created Man, He commanded, "Subjue the Earth.." He never commanded Man to subdue Man, oppressing him, like what leaders of this wretched country are doing to such a peace loving people, as Swazis.
I hear there is a coming dialogue which has the propensity to make or break our political future. I believe in dialogue.
I believe that when in conflict, human decency demands that we sit down and thrash out our differences, agree to disagree, and ferociously work on reaching a consensus.
I've more or less, studied the mentality of this government, and its leaders. What I have no doubts about is that there is just no way they will negotiate or dialogue in good faith. They have been in power for more than a jubilee of years. They know the perks and benefits of being in power. We all know what power does. It corrupts...
When you're in power, you feel like a god..you command those under you to jump..and they eagerly ask, "how high your Honour".
The wise say, "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts.. ABSOLUTELY"
It remains to be seen if change will finally come in my country..but the will of the people, and good shall triumph over evil in the end...
